As of spring 2007, I'm still pounding the nearest track or treadmill, three or four miles per outing at about 12 minutes a mile. I've also been more-or-less diligent about pumping iron, and have made good progress through some perceived weight barriers. Soon I hope to be swimming regularly, travel permitting. The bad news is that I haven't been on my bike for months.

My scuba diving education is in hiatus, also known as the doldrums. In hiatus, I drag myself to some inconvenient, dank, cold quarry or lake every few months, in order to maintain my skills. My next certifications will be diving with Nitrox (nitrogen and oxygen mix), and the Rescue Diver certification. The good news is that I'm already reserved for a week in Grand Cayman in September 2007, one of my top ten goal sites. If I could make two or four dive trips a year, I could visit all these wonderful places in about three years. Of course, if frogs could sprout wings, they wouldn't bump their fannies when they jump...
