This digital shot from the hill beside the Threadgill Stage shows the limitations of 3X optical zoom. My still-new Olympus C4000 has both telephoto and wide angle ranges, which somewhat compensates for the limited zoom. Within the digital picture itself, while still onboard the camera, one can increase the digital zoom, and even crop-n-zoom, according to the instruction manual. More later.
