The Chinese Friendship Gardens in Darling Harbour, Sydney, NSW is one of the few public traditional Chinese gardens outside China. They offer a rare insight into Chinese heritage and culture. One of the interesting features of the gardens is that you can not see the whole garden from any point within them. The gardens are outstanding photographic subjects, and I hope to return some day. There were some splendid digital shots lost...sigh. I hope you have the time to scroll all around this extra-large page to see all the photos, and please click through the thumbnails to see all the full-sized shots.

Above: this is my favorite picture of the bunch, juxtaposing the hidden, mysterious, and naturally integrated garden of the East against the modern flaunting of Western architecture.
